Students from New York will have a chance this week to listen from NASA astronauts aboard the ISS (International Space Station). The Earth-to-space call will air live around 10:30 am EDT 6 may, Thursday on NASA Television, the NASA app, and the website of agency. NASA astronaut Megan McArthur and European Space Agency (ESA) astronaut Thomas Pesquet will answer prerecorded video questions from students involved in the State University of New York-Plattsburgh's Shine On! program. The Shine On! program aims to stimulate resilient, confident girls by teaching media literacy, communication skills, and character strengths. The in-fight education downlink will be the salient of a daylong STEM conference for more than 5,000 students from pre-kindergarten to 8th grade from across the state of New York.
